Anastasios Hionis, PE

CEO & Principal Engineer

Anastasios “Stas” Hionis, PE, leads the Independent Engineering, Validation & Forensics team at PV AMPS. He brings 18 years of insights in Engineering, Energy Modeling, Field Work and Data Analytics to provide Technical Due Diligence and Advisory Services for renewable energy assets. His experience in all stages of the project lifecycle allow him and his team to assist with Design, Energy Production Modeling, Construction and Commissioning Oversight, and Acceptance Diligence. He takes pride in being known as an “Engineer in Boots” and uses his detailed field knowledge to evaluate risks and opportunities of in construction and operating assets. As a forensic engineer, Anastasios applies his experience to identifying the root causes of failures, advising clients through discovery, developing methodologies for corrective actions and creating guidance documents to implement lessons learned into future projects.

Anastasios is the CEO of PV AMPS and received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. He is a Licensed Mechanical and Electrical Engineer and holds licenses in 38 states. He is an Affiliate member of the National Academy of Forensic Engineers.
