Mat Taylor is a 25-year solar industry veteran with extensive experience in Utility Scale solar assets from inception through operations and is dedicated to maximizing PV asset production.


He has a long-standing, close relationship between his consultancy, Cyrano-PV and PV AMPS with dozens of projects completed together, including performance assessments, testing, commissioning, training, and O&M programming. Mat specializes in solar asset Performance Testing, Operational Evaluation, Remote Troubleshooting, and Performance Reporting. Mat is working to streamline and improve the Project Close-out phase of the EPC process, promoting a completely transparent model for final project performance testing and turn-over.


Mat has worked for several large solar EPC firms and has designed, commissioned, and operated hundreds of power plants.  Mat was the Performance Manager at Swinerton/SOLV Renewable Energy for five years with responsibility for plant performance evaluation of a 4 Gigawatt portfolio.  He developed methods for automated performance analysis and troubleshooting that significantly improved O&M processes and production guarantee enforcement for his PV projects.


He is a frequent presenter at solar conferences and has published several articles featured in solar industry magazines.  He currently splits his time between residing in Paradise, CA or Southern Ecuador, working from his off-grid, riverside, organic farm.
